Sunderland 3 – Defensive mess 0

Well, I am glad that I didn’t watch the whole match.

After Larsson’s first goal – which was a stunner, the little person was vying for my attention, so I could only watch the first half and then had to go out to collect his birthday cake. Second half missed. And that not have been a bad thing.

I honestly thought that we would get a minimum of one point at the Stadium of Light, but instead got a thrashing.

The back four looks a somewhat patchwork sight, and annoying Collins has picked up and injury.

But look at the midfield onwards:

  • 04 Nolan
  • 07 Jarvis
  • 10 Collison (Vaz Te – 46′ )
  • 23 Diarra Booked
  • 26 Cole
  • 09 Cole (Chamakh – 56′ )

OK, it is not ‘world class’, but pretty decent in my view – so why the hell aren’t we scoring some goals and winning against the opposition?

Still mid table, but I am not really happy that the team just did not turn up to the game.

“the Hammers could not add to their paltry tally of five away goals for the season – the lowest in the Premier League.”

Niggling fact of the day:

Get well soon Andy Carroll – we need summat in the onion bag!
