I have mixed feelings about yesterday’s game. I actually had a ticket for the Bobby Moore Lower but had to cancel it due to BA and Heathrow fantastic inability to deal with snow.
So I eventually got to the UK last night on a later flight and “watched” the game via interweb on the iPod phone thing.
TBH, I am sort of glad I didn’t go. 63% possession, 13 shots on target , 12 corners, one goal – pretty dire against a team fighting to get out of the relegation zone.
Having then seen the highlights on MOTD, we were all over QPR in the second half – should have got at least 3 or 4 goals. Glad to see young Joseph score on his return to the Boleyn, but really, you just cannot see where the striking role is going to come from. Carroll?? Still out. Carlton?? Misfiring. Chamakh?? Attempts, but how long will it last or even open his Hammers account.
Only the midfield seem to have some manner of target – and where it seems most of our goals have come from. Only 10 days left until the transfer window shuts – we really need a quality striker. And fast.
Mid table, 26 points and -3 GD – getting slightly twitchy……
And to cap it all off there were engineering works between Acton and Hammersmith with a replacement bus service – and all the snow – maybe fortune was not hiding yesterday for me – and that it might have been a good thing not to have gone. Karma works in funny ways…..
