Bloody hell – Liverpool 0, Hammers 3

Yes, bloody hell indeed.

Despite the crap results against Leics and B’mouth at home, surely Slaven Bilic has now written his name in Hammers history achieveing what no manager has done (count Lyall, Bonds, Redknapp, BFS) in 53 years…………

I was absolutely stunned with this win.

So much so, that I set the shell of my fantasy league team to expect another thrashing as has done every year.

Not so.
Lazini after 3 mins. Super. And played really well all match.

Cresswell back to his best – and making amends for the horror show last week. Some good work coming in from the left and he really did put in a shift. Well done.

Reid should have aimed on target with a header, but good to see him getting in the mix.

Captain Mark Noble. Harshly sent off I think for what looked like a yellow at the most. But a simply guided goal made the second.

And let us not forget Sahko’s 92 min effort which just exposed Liverpool’s frailties at the back. |

It is still a result that I am finding very hard to take in. But a brilliant result nevertheless for a side that has not been beaten this season and looked fairly good already for a top four spot.

What pleased me is that despite the horror show of last week and the doom and gloom from most Hammers that we were going to get tonked at Anfield, the Hammers had a game plan with the belief to win and sure enough it pulled off.

Both the red cards were harsh sending off’s – the ref had a bit of a bad day especially calling for 7 mins of injury time where it was a little difficult to see where it came from.

This is a good  – unexpected – win for us. It was hard to take last Saturday as it was B’Mouth, a team we were expected to beat and handsomely. And if anything it will be the best result of the season, bettering that of the Gooners win.

What does concern – and it is not just West Ham – is that there are fair few teams losing at home these days, so we need to address that against Nooooo-castle after the international break.

But for now, this is a result to be cherished. And a massive stamp on the CV of Slav.

In Slaven, we trust.
