Sometimes there are some good castings. Sometimes there are some excellent castings. This Crown Estate falls into the latter.
Estate cars are few and far between, but with the TLV ranks, there are a few. John Lambert rightly calls the bigger JDM’s “Land Barges” and he is right. Big and irrelevant, they were the JDM hitters against the likes of BMW and Rover in the 70s, offering reliability and comfort for a good price.
This model goes straight into the Garage. The attention to detail is super. Those hubcaps are well created here, the accents of lights at the front and rear are spot on. And that colour scheme – perfect for recalling the 70s era.
And in a Garage punctuated with Gloria’s as the bigger Land Barge, this makes a very welcome change as it is an estate.
And driving estate cars are cool – I should know as I drive a Passat Variant/Wagon – with a family they make practical sense.
Whilst the rest of the TLV-Neo stuff is not that super excited for the rest of 2015, this one made a welcome entrance in August.
I would like to see Tomica get a few more in like these if possible for 2016…….they are going to be good sellers and good display models.
