Now very confused – £300m Team 1, Hammers 2

I am still in a bit of shock.
This is just a little bit unhinging. How dare West Ham win away from home – and against the league leaders of all people.

The start was excellent, I think that Moses will prove an excellent acquisition and his goal proved it – drilled in and didn’t give Hart much of a chance.

Second goal was from a good swing in, with a little bit of good fortune from Sahko. He needed a goal to help him along the way – form has been a little stuttering, but good to see him on the sheet.

Nothing that could have been done to stop De Bruyne’s shot – that is why City paid £55m for him.

But let’s look at the second half.

It was like the alamo – City threw EVERYTHING at us and with the likes of Aguero up front, you would have thought that they would have bagged a hatful. 72% possession in the second half tells the story.

But you have to give credit to Adrian and Reid – they had a game of all games and did everything to stop City. In fact the back line had a decent game. OK, there were patches of nerves, but overall, they booted the ball out when needed and ensured that the Hammers left with three points. It was very good the see a solid line there across the front of Adrian. Could be the effect of Dicks and Bilic combined (both tough defenders) ensuring that the goals are not leaked.
And not forgetting that those bookings have also decreased as well – the rash of reds seems to have dropped off which is what I like to see.
I cannot get carried away with this at all – OK, we are sitting third in the league at the moment, second best goal difference in the Premier League and best London team currently.

Look what happened when we started to think about Champions League in January this year…………

Slaven is doing things correctly – and to win against Arsenal, Liverpool and City away is no mean feat, I doubt that any other team could match that this season.

In Slaven We Trust.

Leics City next int he League Cup – TBH, I don’t care about that one – if we lose, we concentrate on the league, which is far more important.
