There is just something very cool about stock cars – no frills, no mods. Just plain boring. And that has some manner of allure to it.
There are a few TLV’s that I am really keen to get my hands on – they don’t make an appearance that often within the Japan Booster shop (which is where I buy them from) so when I do see them, it is an immediately buy.
So whilst the Garage is dominated with the likes of this casting with the likes of the plusher 2000 SGL, back to basics is the root of the car and the spawn of the variations so therefore it is very important – for me – to have the base edition.
And you could easily see this one getting mash up in an old Japanese TV car chase as per below:
And I love this one – the features just show how basic the standard car is – there are no frills here and this is shown within the wheel trims and dull blue paintwork. But main thing is that this car is not meant to be the luxury from the Cedric stable. It is a workhorse – transportation to get from A to B for the Japanese family. Thus functional. And this is where the the appeal is – all to often the standard spec cars are just overlooked and never created as the masses want the posh version. So such models are a real rarity and should not be overlooked. I want to ensure I keep taking that beaten track as there is so much to discover.
A fine, fine addition to the TLV family.
