There is something uber cool about stock cars. You know the type, the 1.6GL or the base model – no frills motoring – or at least that was the case a fair few years ago.
So this is why I bought this casting of the Nissan C211 Skyline.
There is nothing fancy about it. There is nothing modified about it – it is just pain dull as it is standard. But that is the beauty – too often these are the forgotten cars and what would be the reckoning that most of them have met their maker in the car crusher.
Everything about it is well re-produced including those wheels – and you know what I am like about diecast wheels.
So whilst there will be many clambouring over the R35 GT-R premo’s be it via Greenlight, Oversteer or Tomytec, the beaten track serves me well – I doubt that this one will get man takers……so all the better for me. And that paint scheme –yup, it is flat blue – and I love it. Makes a change from Nissan grey…….
