I don’t get many 1/43’s anymore due to the size of them. I have over 70 odd and storing them is a pain in the arse.
So I was very surprised that I saw this version in 1/43 – 1/64 would be too much to ask for. There seems to be a small new-ish crop of brands that are making JDM models. I have scribed about the Oversteer 1/64 models which seem to be giving TLV a bloody good run for their money.
I do like this one and it has made an entry straight into the Garage. The level of detail is high (External wing mirrors – how often do you see these missed off?) and there is a good quality feel about it. A few blemishes on the coaching, but I can just about live with that.
This is a very surprising choice of model to be created as a diecast – I would not have thought of it at all, but I like the fact that it is niche and untried.
I am very much hoping that such cars are produced in 1/64, in anything just to get away from the masses of Crown’s and Cedric’s that are saturating. I am also half tempted to get some of these First43’s – The do a NSX, Toyota Windom, a Bishi Dimante to name a few – all non-common JDM…….so this could definitely be worth closer inspection.
Let’s see how I get on.
