Oh hell yeah!
If you are a reader of the Mattel Raa-Raa blog, you will know that Lambert is a bit of a fan of the old C10, C110 and C210 Skylines.
Being American, they didn’t get to behold true JDM’s as they were simply not imported over there. More so they found their way to Aussie and NZ instead once their 5-6 year road life had ended in Japan.
There has been a few Skyline’s been made via TLV, but I am a fan from R30 onwards. More importantly, I am a huge fan of the lesser models – GTS-t Type M is the first one that comes to mind.
I have been very fortunate to have got some of these models in 1/43, which are now fetching daft prices on ebay. But imagine my joy when Tomytec announced that the R34 four door was being released – huzzah!!
I had already nabbed the 25GT via Kyosho, but TLV-Neo’s – as I have said before – are the benchmark.
It’s a beauty – everything about it spells quality and for the Skyline collector, this simply has to be an entry. It is all well and good having two-doors, but four-doors are ALWAYS cooler. And this version is off the beaten track – you simply can’t get this type of model re-created on a regular basis.
Going straight into the Garage, I want more, especially as a 25GT-X without police livery in the final picture below.
I really want to now see more JDM saloons appear – there is a MASSIVE back catalogue to choose from and surely these are better than just churning out the popular?
