So we have many a collector ecstatic about the fact that MB have released a Hudson Hornet and some rubbish Chevy estate car from the 1950s.
I have mused before that Jason Horowitz from Mattel is a bellend. Well, he looks about 20 and trying to claw his way up the corporate Mattel ladder – as you do.
But fair play to him – he and his team have got this one in the bag.
Tesla is modern and current. As is the new Model X. Such cars are going to become main stream, and this is what the Matchbox range was all about. A couple of oldies thrown in, but modern relevance.
But as with all things Mattel, HW gets the money and the licenses. Front and rear tampo lights, that smoked glass…..this is a good little model.
I am beginning to pick up more and more of these castings from HW, and my rule applies – if I like it, get it. I have no clue about all the chase stuff and redlines – I think I have mentioned this before, so I will keep on being oblivious and get these modern day vehicles.
Mattel can do some great stuff – this is an example. May Jason Horowitz is not a tool after all………then again…….
