If Hot Wheels make this sort of thing as standard as opposed to the generic crap they normally like to produce, I would be a happy collector.
Such is the difficulty in getting hold of this model, it actually hails from Melbourne, Australia – so a 12000km journey back to CH!.
Why this model tugs at the heart strings is because it is closest modern day casting of MB45 BMW 3.0 CSL – a classic Lesney casting. The black paint scheme looks aggressive as do the wheels which suit it as well. I have had a look at the white version and I prefer the black.
If Have the time, patience and space, I would look to add some detail to this model – it could really do with some rear lights. But this is a toy car. I have said before, if detail is needed, I need to spend 5-7 times as much.
See, Mattel can do a good job – and this is the proof. It annoys me that they cannot do this on a consistent basis.
