A perfect example of where Mattel is going wrong in terms of playability.
The very JDM-ness of this ambulance sets it apart – you don’t get to see Nissan NV350’s outside of Asia or the Middle East as many countries now employ the MB Sprinter.
We have a superb casting straight off with authentic livery. Then we have an opening rear door. Add to that a detailed interior.
Now whilst some are going all giddy over the MB G63 6×6 that is being released as part of the MB range, that particular model does not have an interior. Nor the level of detail seen here. And I think it makes a huge difference. More features means that it gives the imagination more time to roam and this casting does exactly that. There is huge play value here, as opposed to a model living off a brand that had past glory.
I really do think that if you have the opportunity, do look out for these castings and the Tomica range. As per my previous musings, they are well worth having.
