Disney Pixar Cars – Bob Pulley

This is somewhat of a rare sight.

Not your normal find on the pegs, but I like this very much.

Whilst I am having kittens over my 1/43 Cedric from Tomy, I think that for a standard Pixar Cars release, this is bordering on exceptional. The detail on this model is mental and more to the point accurate. Based on the Ito-San casting, the model has that typical boxy Japanese feel about it, which echoes the lines of a Nissan Crew or Toyota Comfort. (Why Mattel could not do a straight out Toyota license, I do not know……)

But just look at the detail – wing mirrors on the wings, the lace curtain on the rear window, the Japanese livery, even those “wirey” wheels…….it is a superb characature of the Japanese Taxi.

I think that the only flaw with this model is the name. Since when is a Japanese car called Bob…….

Very pleased with this one and not easy to find at all. The Pixar collections continues to grow nicely.
